Teri Harvey, Massage Therapist

Massage Therapy

Introducing Teri Harvey,
New York State Licensed Massage Therapist

When my youngest daughter was three months old my husband presented me with a gift certificate for a massage. Until then the entire focus of my life had been about my three beautiful daughters and my husband (of 21 years now). I had never thought about having a career other than my family. I made the appointment, and with a slight case of nerves decided that it might actually be good for me.

That was the beginning of my second career. I came to the conclusion that this was something that I really could and was eager to do. I wanted to make others feel the wonderful sense of well-being and tranquility that I had felt. Helping people had always been something that I had been good at.

I have been a practicing massage therapist for six years. My specialties include Swedish and Pregnancy massage. My interests are in the art of Reflexology and I embrace the idea of holistic healing through Chiropractic and Massage. My belief is that the two modalities lend great strength to one another.

When I am not doing massage, I am usually involved participating in a very active family life. Our oldest daughter attends SUNY Brockport. Our middle daughter is in high school where she participates in volleyball and softball. Our youngest daughter is in elementary school and is the dancer in the family. When our schedule permits, I enjoy just relaxing and catching up with my husband.

I welcome you and look forward to our time together. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions that you may have.

Yours in Health,

Dr. Nicholson Asks some important questions of interest to Fulton residents - Chiropractor Fulton Dr. Nicholson Asks...

What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
Why are some people allergic to pollen and others aren't?
It's not the pollen. Chiropractors know that if it were, everyone would be allergic to pollen, nuts and pet dander. But that's not the case. It's the person, not the pollen! If you live in Fulton and your stress levels are high, then each year the grass, the trees or the weeds put your nervous system over the top. Many report that chiropractic care helps reduce the frequency and severity of their allergic response.
