We Explain Everything First

You may complete your New Patient Paperwork online or at your first office visit. Once all forms are completed you will be escorted by a chiropractic assistant to the examination room. You will be asked to wear a gown. Dr. Nicholson will meet with you to discuss the specifics of your case. After discussing specifics of your case, he will make a determination if chiropractic care seems promising. If so, he will proceed with a thorough examination to include:

Physical-This is a general evaluation that may include the recording of pulse, blood pressure and similar objective measurements.

Orthopedic-This examination tests your ability to turn, bend and move key joints of your skeletal system through their expected range of motion.

Neurological-We'll test your deep tendon reflexes, muscle strength and other aspects pointing to the health of your central nervous system.

Chiropractic-These tests can include postural evaluations, static and dynamic palpation and other procedures to reveal neurological problems.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Dr. Nicholson Asks some important questions of interest to Fulton residents - Chiropractor Fulton Dr. Nicholson Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Fulton parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
